Frequently Asked Questions (before you purchase)
• Is TimeTrax compatible with XM or Sirius online streaming?
TimeTrax Recast is compatible with XM Online Streaming. It is not compatible with SIRIUS Online Streaming at this time.
• Which satellite radio receivers are compatible with TimeTrax?
TimeTrax is currently compatible with the following satellite radio receivers:
- XM PCR
- XM Direct
- XM Online Streaming
- Sirius Connect (models SIR-KEN1, SIR-JVC1, SIR-PNR1, and SIR-ALP1)
• If I register, is it good for future versions?
A Recast software license purchase
includes one year of software upgrades and support. After one year, you may
purchase an upgrade/support contract to continue receiving upgrades and
technical support.
• Does TimeTrax contain spyware, adware, trojan horses, etc?
TimeTrax does not contain any sort of spyware, key logger or any other malware.
• Do you have a version for Sirius?
Yes, TimeTrax is compatible with Sirius.
• Will this work with the new SkyFi2 radio?
The SkyFi2 radio does not currently work with TimeTrax.
• Can I purchase the software and load it on more than one PC, so I can move the radio around?
Yes, once you have purchased the software, you can install and register it on as many PC's as you like.
When you purchase the software you are immediately issued at activation code. Your activation code is good for
a one time use to register the software for a specific radio. Once you register the software for the first time,
you will receive a permanent registration key via e-mail. This key is authorized for use in as many places and computers as you would
like, but it is restricted to the specific radio ID of your satellite radio receiver. Once you have successfully
registered and are assigned a radio id based registration key, Time Trax can not allow you to transfer your registration
to a different radio ID. No exceptions are made to this policy. Therefore, please make sure that you use your
activation key to activate the software using the hardware that you intend to permanently use with TimeTrax.
For XM Online, you are issued a key that is associated with your XM Online
account. You can install TimeTrax Recast to run in XM Online mode on as many
PC's as you wish, but you can run it on one PC at a time only.
• Does TimeTrax work in Canada?
Yes! TimeTrax sells both XM and Sirius products to Canadian
customers. When you receive your TimeTrax package, you can call XM Radio Canada
or Sirius Canada to activate. TimeTrax Connect products and Recast software also
work with compatible radios purchased in CAnada.
• I read that XM is now blocking or restricting TimeTrax from working. Is this true?
This misinformation was spread by some users who did not understand what the "restricted" item on the screen meant. The "Restricted" counter counts how many songs did not meet the Grab List criteria, or met the Kill List criteria, and were not recorded as a result. It has nothing to do with XM "restricting" anything to do with TimeTrax.
